Messages

Messages (/manage/messages) is a two-way chat between staff and families.

The thread list

• The left panel lists every conversation, ordered by latest activity.
• Each thread shows the guardian or child name, last message preview, relative timestamp, and an unread badge.
• Filter to open or resolved threads.
• Search across thread names.

The message view

• The right panel is the chat with the selected thread.
• Staff messages appear on the right; guardian messages on the left.
• Type, press Send, and the message goes out instantly.

Real-time

Messages are delivered in real time. Whatever a guardian sends from the Parent app appears instantly in the web dashboard, and vice versa.

Resolving threads

Mark a thread Resolved to move it out of your active inbox once the conversation is done. You can reopen it later.
